Twitter owner Elon Musk has finally hired someone as CEO of the company, but it’s not a human. Yes! you read that Musk has appointed his pet dog Floki as the new CEO of Twitter in place of a human. In this hypothetical situation, Musk believes Floki would do a better job than previous CEO Parag Agarwal, who was fired soon after Musk acquired the company for $44 billion. Elon Musk shared a picture of his dog Floki in the CEO’s chair wearing a Twitter-branded T-shirt and a CEO tag. In the caption he wrote, ‘Twitter’s new CEO is awesome’ The picture also shows that the dog has signed some documents with its paw print, and there is a Twitter logo on the laptop.
In a separate tweet, he shared that the new CEO is much better than the others, referring to former CEO Parag Agarwal. Musk had exchanged few messages with Agarwal before the acquisition began, and they did not appear to have a friendly relationship. Musk referred to joining the Twitter board as a “waste of time” in his text messages to Aggarwal.
According to the report, Musk was also in touch with Twitter chief Jack Dorsey and briefed him about the discussions he had with Agarwal. In some of the leaked chats, it was revealed that Dorsey tried to bring the two sides together, but things didn’t work out. Musk ended Agarwal’s decade-long association with Twitter by ending and paying him a compensation of USD 30.4 million.
